The Tallahassee Antique Car Museum is going solar!

The famous Antique Car Museum at Tallahassee, FL is going environmental and will be powered by 25 KW Solar Panels array. The new building, including nearly 400 solar panels, is scheduled to open later this year.
The owner of the museum, Mr. DeVoe Moore, said that he hopes the new solar system will help educate young people about the benefits of alternative energy.
Mr Al Simpler, owner of Simpler Solar (the company which will build the solar panels system), said each system cost about $169,000, but Department of Environmental Protection is giving $100,000 rebates for each of the systems. And each one also will get $21,000 in federal tax credits, he said. Also he said that To date, no rebate has been awarded to anybody in the state of Florida for $100,000, which is the maximum for a 25-kilowatt system,...
This solar system is powerful enough support about 10-12 homes. And they will supplement the city's power grid during peak usage hours. The Solar Panel array will partially power the museum. However, it's possible the project could grow significantly in scope over time, providing even more energy.
